32:00 That's Tsukiyomi the god of the moon the series is named after. He was out of power when the goddess woke up because he'd been managing by himself and was phasing out so he gave his powers to Makoto until he wakes up in a hundred years or so to make up for the goddess's cuntery. That's where the 'Kai' power came from and presumably why Tomoe's void realm transformed into the demi-plane when they contracted.

Lots of people recommended Tsukimichi back then, but other shows had better optics in terms of potential engagement, so he pushed it into the "maybe pile" and didn't move it over to the "okay we'll watch it pile" until just recently. It's similar to the current season, where they have relatively strong series (Kowloon, Witch Watch, Loser Rangers, unexpectedly even Old Bumpkin Swordsmaster) in their "highly considered" list on their schedule (see "General Schedule" in the description above), but are not actively reacting to those.

Everyone else had their gaze lowered out of respect for the female Bishop the entire time, it was just Makoto who was surprised and looked up at her. They considered this to be disrespectful and tactless of him. That's all it is.

D Nasty remembered Chiya being attacked by kobalds, so I thought they'd recall Hibiki screwing up making her first kill, thus showing which party Chiya was in. 35:30 I'd think such skeptical guys would question one girl being 3 massively important things. If Hibiki's party had been shown this episode, I know these fellas would have gotten it all straightened out. Love this damn channel!

Hero, except for Hibiki and Chiya(priestess), it would have been way easier to keep her character in mind, maybe. I adore the anime adaptation, but it of course could have been way better.
