2025-03-13 15:18:09 +0000 UTCIf you're just watching for OP MC shenanigans there are better series to watch. Cutting out the heroes just cuts one of the biggest parts of the story so why bother? At that point you're better off with any random isekai or shonen.

2025-03-13 07:57:38 +0000 UTCThey tried to show that Tomoki was remorseful about the charm but they didn't make it as clear in the anime. When Tomoki was talking to Lily on the balcony about wanting the girls he'd charmed in his party Lily remarked in her head that it must be guilt and that he's weak. They also only mentioned it in passing in the anime but he avoids interacting with people when he can to prevent from enthralling more people unintentionally. Lily's the one that started throwing useful people at him so they'd be more obedient and useful to her schemes. lol Tomoki is still trash though.

The mage (hyuman) couldn't stand having to face monsters at night, so they dropped out because they feared for their life. The bow user (elf) realized that the blue orbs detected him outside of his effective archery range, meaning he couldn't get close enough to actually defeat the blue orbs. Hence he dropped out, because he had no way of beating the exam. The axe user (lion-beastman) actually managed to gather one red orb, but was scared off by the assassin and thus also dropped out.

2025-03-13 02:56:55 +0000 UTCSomething I thought was a little interesting, was the exam proctor said something along the lines of "get 3 orbs of a single color and you would use your best attack to do it". For me, this implies that a normal person would have used their most powerful attack to halt the orbs. Meanwhile our MC was exploding them with his weakest attacks and then had to further nerf himself in order to pull it off lol. I'm assuming the orbs were supposed to be fairly durable. Just another clever way to show just how powerful he is, even if he doesnt exactly think of himself as OP.
