I'm not a huge "Me stronk! Me fight good!" kinda dude, but I take big ass offense at belittling even a fictional fighter's honour and achievements.

The Goddess wants nothing to do with him, but She was desperate to help her hyumans. The Demiplane was accidentally discovered when "Shen" wanted to show Makoto her void world sort of pocket dimension.

In the manga, we see Hibiki's party, besides the Priestess, get Charmed and get onto Hibiki for "being rude" to the Gritonia Hero. Also, Navarre talks about wanting to have a kid soon, whike hanging with the 'Biki, since all of this fighting will catch up to her eventually. I don't recall how much of that was in the WN, but the manga is a fine adaptation.

In the manga he treated her with the utmost respect and was disappointed that she couldn't fight longer and there was no body to return to her allies or bury. Io was a truly respectful warrior in the manga. It wasn't well portrayed but Hibiki really couldn't leave once Tomoki ditched because Io was going to chase them down like he told Naval when Hibiki and co. ran. Also when shield girl was questioning Tomoki after he called for the retreat that was supposed to be the indicator that his charm was disabled.

Letting it live will clearly be the catalyst that causes the "Rise of the Planet of the Chicken" scenario to unfold. No way am I gonna let a sentient chicken lead the revolution that replaces us as the dominant species on the planet. The deep-fryer is the better alternative. Anyways, with regards to the episode, there is a detail that the anime omits but that's explained in all the other versions of the series: The strength of the Goddess's blessing is actually a 2x multiplier. If you receive the blessing of the Goddess for a battle, you get 2x stronger and your opponent becomes 2x weaker. (So effectively you're 4x as strong as the enemy.) That's why the blessing is usually considered a major deal.
