Like, as in, he has to have some secondary thing in place, because he's /way/ too frivolous with their lives for the heart itself to not hop to another person as soon as the previous host died. He almost took her out for not noticing Emilia being "tired," but one random, specific person he kills (on a regular basis) has any odds to /also/ kill him off? Without him being able to tell who it is that does have it? That seems... poorly thought out on his end. ---- 11:12 Ah. Well. They had considered that. Fair enough. . Yeah, these Sin Authorities really be the whole trope of "beat the boss, the boss is now an ally, the former boss is hella nerfed." BishopGuese could spam the hands because he leant out his 'soul' to his Fingers, and could disperse the pain of using it to the point that it didn't hold him back, while Subaru really can't do the same. Regulus caught hell "keeping up" with getting waxed, trying to use it with no outsourced heart and clearly not being able to, otherwise being this implacable man before they figured it out. . ... We didn't ever sort out the exacts of Wraths Authority, did we?

Pandora only erased all memory of her from Emilia as she only talked about her and Emilia's "reunion" in the future. So her rewriting Regulus being there would be the thing that makes Emilia forget right? But if that's the case, how does Regulus remember? How was Fortuna able to be "assigned" a number if the event didn't happen? Also with the laughing wives scene, I remembered back to Sylphy smiling when Regulus was about to kill her. I assume that's what they all do and it haunts him. I also love how they didn't give him a sudden "tragic" backstory to make you feel bad for him. In the end, he just looked pathetic.

2025-02-27 01:38:40 +0000 UTC0:30 - S1E18 is the obvious one for Rem and the title drop, but I think for me it's either the episode where Subaru was finally able to mention RBD to Echidna because of how big a deal it was for him, or S2E15 because of Subaru and Emilia's first kiss as the culmination of the growth of their relationship throughout the series. 36:20 - She had her memory wiped by Pandora, then remembered what happened to Geuse and Fortuna through the trial, but the details around Regulus are foggy. I remember Pandora used her power to make it so he never showed up in the first place, but I dunno if that's why Emilia doesn't remember or it's just general forgetfulness. As far as the actual episode, I think it's poetic that Regulus was suffering over the thought of Emilia being happy by avenging Geuse and her mother, when Emilia doesn't even remember who he is or what he did to them. Especially because he really *didn't* actually do much of anything when you consider Pandora rewriting him ever showing up. Like you guys said, his ending was just super pathetic, with nothing redeeming whatsoever.
