to bring a synchro monster from the extra deck you need a tuner and other non-tuner monsters that all of their stars equal to the stars of the summoned monster. if the summoned monster has 7 stars then for example you need a tuner (lets say 4 stars) and non tuner monster 3 stars. or instead of a 3 star monster you can use a 2 star monster and another 1 star monster. thats the general rule. some synchro monsters that are like 12 stars may need 2 tuners for example. but again the sum of the stars should be equal to the stars of the summoned monster. but yes because my comment became extra big. synchro summon = tuner + non tuner monster(s) number of stars of summoned monster = number of stars of sacrificed monsters
