Yall understand why he does the things he does. Why he won't work with evil, why he won't kill, why he holds back his power. It's all to keep him from becoming what his father was. We know that in most other alternate universes Mark is evil which means it doesnt take much for him to become evil and if he doesn't stick by his morals then he will become what he fears most. It's the same thing with superman. The injustice storyline shows what will happen if he stops caring about being a righteous hero.
