Then it should and could have been. To the FBI point, some people are just different. If someone can just point them in the “right” direction they can use it for good. How many other options do they truly have? Some things your average person can’t handle mentally.

As it relates to hackers I definitely believe that I was listening to a audio about how the FBI recruits people with traumatic experiences or borderline psychopaths because they are the type of people who can conduct the missions that regular people can’t do which may require crossing ethical lines.

There is a lot of gray and things I probably will never understand or know about. However, there are two things I do know. All the governments of the world have prevented another world war up to this point. The US government has prevented a civil war up to this point. I don’t really care how they did/do it.

2025-02-10 17:17:39 +0000 UTCThat can be Frank, one thing I’ve learned in the last three years with foreign conflicts around the world is that the average person lacks understanding and the ability to relate to foreign policy and what governments have to do for national security which often conflicts with ethics. I remember Winston Churchill was able to decipher German messages and still allowed an attack to happen because he did not want them to know the allies had that ability because they were working on the final plans to ultimately win the war and hypothetically had the Germans realized Winston Churchill was able to decode their messages earlier we may not have won the war at the time we did. I spend a lot of time in the Gray when it comes to characters like Cecil in real life.
