THE GIRLS ARE HEEERRREEE

Meet Yusari, Synder, and Ordinary! I'm kinda unsure if I wanna post them publicly right now or if I wanna first get to drawing more of their expressions and action poses, but I'm really happy about these designs atm :D

Some general writeups:

• Yusari Inkwell, a fox-like Kinfolk witch. A devotee to an esoteric pantheon in the realm of Noir, Yusari is the agent of the "Fey God-Force", a primordial entity that she believes is responsible for the introduction of spirit magic to the realm. With the companionship of various fey proxies (fairies she names "Proxy"), she's made it her mission to bring about entropy and tempestuous change across Noir, something that kinda freaks people out considering the pervasive ghost apocalypse that's been around the last few decades making people stressed.

• Synder Rex Sunder, a "reptilian" sharpshooter who carries around the biggest, most badass bowgun you've ever seen, and she likes using it on deadlives (zombies in Noir). While she's presumed to be some kind of "ordinary" Kinfolk with lizard-like qualities, the truth is that she used to be a dragon king, the height of magic ability and former pinnacle of power before mortals discovered alchemy and nearly wiped dragons to extinction. Synder was originally in hiding but had her magic power stolen by who would become The Collector King (the BBEG) who led the current Broken Death curse across the realm -- she's spent the last several years training and taking up the bowgun in preparation of killing the King to restore herself to her former glory.

• Ordinary, a "human" cleric. Supposedly, she is a Sister of the Sky -- a devotee to the goddess known as Saint Sky, and a white-mage healer with incredible miracle powers necessary to save the world from the Broken Death. In actuality, "Ordinary" is a mimic that feasts on magic and previously ate a Sister of the Sky, absorbing her powers. She originally took a human form in order to get close to Yusari and eat her too, but she ended up being inducted by the Fey God-Force (it evidently didn't recognize that she's a monster), and now she's been stuck in human form being the party's actual healer lest she be vaporized by fairies.
