So... I'm suddenly a part-time scanlator now

Bit of background: There's a gender bender manga series starting in 2011 called Asuka Hybrid; basically an androgynous boy gets accidentally sent to live in a girls-only dorm, then ends up running into a sorceress who hastily solves his problem by turning him into a girl, now he must spend a while living as one while trying to find her to turn him back.

There was a decent fan effort to cover its first volume (9 chapters), then it abruptly stopped on a cliffhanger, and the scanning/fan translation group just disappeared. A few years later, a new group (Resurrected Scans) picked the series up and covered chapters 10-17, but then abruptly stopped last year and went radio silent, again, at a cliffhanger.

The series is really cute and has been on the back of my mind a lot, and I kinda became obsessed over the last few years waiting for the translation efforts to resume, though it didn't happen. Eventually I started trying to dig around to communicate anyone for the project, and after several false starts and dead links, I FINALLY found the contact info I was looking for.

One thing led to another, and I found out that the project is still technically active, they were just really low on personnel; they have the scans! They have the translators! But they don't have many folks to do the cleanup and typesetting to format it to English. That's all, it seems.

Because I do have a graphic design background, I volunteered! I DO NOT have scanlation experience though so this is gonna be interesting. Above is a test page of the ill-fated chapter 18! I wanna figure out where TF this story goes and will do my part to see it through damnit

but yeah this is a weird turn of events lol
