By story itself they are some mysterious race, that didn't left nothing after themselves, but Idols - almost a god-like synthetic machines.
About sketch - no, I don't think that they are like humanoids. It's more like imagining unknown, - when you heard something, but didn't saw.
And still there is one more race, race of Grirdasses. They are the first born original race of our whole Universe, and, at the same time, the most bigger threat to all living beings within it. It's them who destroyed Idols' Creators and many other races a long time ago, and it's them who started Age of the Down at the galaxy of Arnainskiy Cross.
But that's another story for another time...
