Episode 24 is such a punch in the heart. Spike may be the most iconic character from this series but Faye will always be the most compelling to me and the Ed and Ein leaving scene is the saddest scene.

2024-09-18 18:23:09 +0000 UTCThe egg eating scene is one of them saddest scenes I've ever seen in a series. Jet, the father figure of the Bebop crew, prepared bowls of eggs for everyone, including Ein, because the crew was more or less a dysfunctional family and even though they did not say it, there was love and care between the members. Only for the family to just completely dissolve and for only Jet and Spike to remain, alone, just like they were in the beginning. The moment when they start eating from the bowls meant for Ed and Faye, they finally come to terms with the fact that they really aren't coming back and the Bebop family is gone.

Even in nature roots grow that way and lightning strikes that way. The universe seems to have expanded that way. Then you have those who take advantage and those who don't. That's free will, which makes us human and all that. *hits joint* Jets facial hair freaks me out man. It's so far up his face.
