I thought I cleared this up last week by flushing the CDN caches, but it appears there might still be an issue. Can you PM me the last few lines from the file logs/patch.log found in your install folder?

Looks great, would love to try your project, unfortunately can't download it because hash is incorrect for files in your updater. Every attempt to download through updater application results in critical error failure. Also can't DL through MEGA because of size limits.

Hi guys, i need some help, i haven't played this in a while and i saw the latest update 1.17.0.4, i followed the instructions downloaded the VaM updater, extracted - pasted on VaM folder overwrote then updated successfully, BUT the "Load Built-Up Scene" is gone... Pls help me.

For those having trouble updating, I could not repeat the issue, so I suspect one or more of the CDN datacenter caches around the world are out of sync. I have purged all the caches, so hopefully this fixes the issue.

I can't update or install a fresh copy of VAM. I've tried on multiple computers and it gets to a certain point and fails. How can I bypass the broken updater and just download the full game?

I've kept trying ;) and it still fails for me. Last time I installed the fresh 1.17 package, then tried to upgrade to .01 - still fails on the same file: f_1_mat :(

Overall, this is a neat project, but can I offer some constructive criticism? By default there's very little content worth looking at and what's there is mostly broken. I supported about a year ago and just couldn't get anything working. I decided to try again and I don't see a lot of progress in the software, but I do see a ton of great content made by the Reddit community. The problem is that your updates appear to keep breaking them. I don't know the full story, but if you want this project to succeed you need to either a) develop you own quality content or b) support the community and help them fix what you broke. And if you want any hope of going mainstreamish, please for god's sake make some kind of official downloader which organizes this stuff. People are releasing great content for this, but you have to read/watch 4 hours worth of tutorials to figure out how to get any of it even partially working. And the VR mode with possession is pretty much a nightmare. I don't think I've ever once possessed a character without seeing the inside of their head and then subsequently caused the whole scene to flip out when I moved. And with desktop mode you are pretty much doing 3D modelling in a really bad 3D modelling program. And that really isn't fun when you're trying trying to use one hand ;-}. So yeah, I'm rooting for you, but jeez this is one of the most intriguing and simultaneously frustrating "games" I've ever played. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm just not doing it right, but if that's the case for Christ's sakes help me out.

I downloaded the torrent instead, but now I have the same issue that Pyro is describing. StreamingAssets\p_eye_mat will just keep failing to download. Have tried it for the last 6 hours, 6 times.

Same issue, hash of downloaded file zf_cef.dll is incorrect. Retried download 8 times. every time, same result.

Same issue as Tobias - download fails to complete. fails at streamingassets_eye_mat...

I'm having big issues with updating past 1.17.0. I have tried several times now, using both the "old" updater and the newest one (2.1.0.0). Even doing a complete reinstall. All atempts result in failed downloads. Just now I did a fresh install and tried updating from 17.0.0 to .3, with hte same issue. Is there a way to download the neccesary files manually? Or perhaps a torrent with the latest updates included?

How do i hook up the hip and feet trackers for the vive. i cant find any tutorial for it. is that feature available yet? When i go to posses i can see the trackers in the game but it doesn't auto connect to the hip and feel modules,

Hi, several versions back the updater started crashing on execution for me. Today i found out that it's probably caused by running it from a network drive. It's not a big deal, i can move the installation to a local drive (It's probably also a better idea performance-wise). I'm just reporting it as low priority bug and as a help for others on the odd chance someone else is affected by this. Keep being awesome! Thanks.

what will be good is to have a collision parameter on the clothing areas (in the same profile "select sim texture" => "select zone collision") ..... Hello, better then the previous, performance wise, for rift S. I had anyway to toggle physics from 1 to 2 cause the animations were slower...Anyway if i may.... have 2 problems with the program (unchanged from version to version). When I start a scene i have to manually toggle the collision with the VR hands (i just need to press a button in the main ui, but i don't get why it doesn't save my preference) and... the in-game icon of the atoms (i mean e.g. the gears of animation, the cubes for limb controls ..all those green things) and the laser pointers of the vr hands are subject to the lighting of the scene. This is a problem because i managed to have a well lit character, but the green icons and the hands' laser pointers are barely visible. Thanks for all and keep up this great work!
