I think we're all frustrated, agreed. Its just the money motivations. More streams = more money and with streams paying so little, they try to maximize. Cut 20 seconds off a song when you would get 100 million plays normally, and that gets you an extra 10-20 million streams? Of course the company does that, ESPECIALLY since spotify's model is paying out of a pool based on percentages of total streams on the platform.
If we want these short songs to go back down, we have to go back to paying for music again. A la itunes 1.29-per-song or physicals. And most people dont want to, unfortunately.

I agree so much with you. The songs are so short! Like... why? Songs used to be 4 to 5 min. long and now we barely get a 3 min. song. It's frustrating. The girls killed it tho with the vocals. So proud of them.
