The colour red is important in this series. Ohaew is always wearing red, or has something red like his phone case. It's considered to represent him. So when Teh touched the red pencil that Tarn was drawing with, and then he used it to draw on her hand, there was the suggestion that Ohaew was getting mixed up in his thoughts and was the reason Teh turned away from the kiss.
In the first episode Teh complained of back ache when he rode in the bus on the way home from Bangkok. Hoon bought Teh the plane ticket so that when he leaves to study in BK he won't have to ride in the bus again.
