I Told Sunset About You Episode 1 REACTION

I Told Sunset About You Episode 1 REACTION

I agree wholeheartedly. You described the second series so perfectly. I can understand why people didn't like it as much; the first series was much lighter in all aspects and therefore easier to watch. But I prefer heavier themes so for me I enjoyed IPYTM as much - if not more than - ITSAY. Without wishing to spoil anything for RJ, I'll just say that it takes a real understanding of the characters to appreciate why they make certain choices. As you say, it's not black and white or right and wrong. There's a hell of a lot of complicated feelings and emotions going on, changes that will affect the rest of their lives. I think a lot of viewers struggle to see the bigger picture because they're too caught up in the romance of it all.

The 2nd series was lovely but heartbreaking to me in so many ways. It was the transition from childhood to adulthood with all the many harsh realities that come into life at that stage. Realizing that the world is complex and wide and emotions are vast and people are constantly changing while losing the innocence of youth is depicted wonderfully. A lot of people didn't love the 2nd series as much, but for me, the two together are almost necessary. It's wonderful to find people who love the series as much as I do <3

Just a few seconds in and I'm already gone. Sitting here with tears rolling down my cheeks. I have such a deep connection with this show that it takes literally nothing for them to set me off crying. I don't really have much to say, but I just wanted to highlight three things. 1. The relationship between Teh and his brother, Hoon, is one of the best I've ever seen. They portray it so simply and subtly, yet so effectively. It's beautiful. Their relationship with their mum, too. 2. Noble and Pupa, who played the younger versions of Teh and Ohaew, were phenomenal. There are behind the scenes episodes which show the making of the series (well worth reacting to btw). All four actors worked so hard together and it really paid off. I thought that the younger actors embodied the older actors so well that they were very believable in playing them as children. 3. The music in this series is the best I've ever heard in a BL. Just to reiterate that if you decide to watch the second series (I Promised You The Moon) please watch the short episode that bridges the two. It's called Last Twilight In Phuket - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrEiimmjszM

Yaay I'm glad you liked this. Prepare yourself for what's to come XD this show is intense. Just to clarify, the scene at the end where Teh is talking to the examinators is just the continuation of the first scene of the show, it does not happen again. In 3 months there is the regular admission exam, what they already went through was a special early exam.

Blue Bubble

FYI that bomb thing is called “bian pao” in Chinese, people use it for celebrations! When “bian pao” appears in the series, that means the relationship change between these two.

My favourite BL series. I could wax lyrical about this show, but I'll try to contain myself. Only one other series has ever come close to this one and that is The Untamed. The emotion, tenderness and love that the actors, Billkin and PP Krit, are able to portray through their characters is virtually unmatched (like I said, only The Untamed is on the same level). There's a lot of subtlety in ITSAY and its two sequels (Last Twilight in Phuket and I Promised You The Moon) that I definitely missed on the first watch, but I know if there's anything you happen to miss someone will fill you in. If not, I will! Because when you understand everything, it makes the whole series so much more endearing. If I only had one thing to say to you, it would be to watch how Teh and Oh-aew express their care for each other as that will make their choices later on make more sense. And the Chinese references throughout should be noted because they connect the entire story into a full circle and it's breathtaking when it hits you.

I first watched this a couple months ago, and it changed me. I was obsessed with it and its 2nd season. I recently decided that since I love this show I wanted to see pp krit's (the one who plays Oh) music, and i did and it slaps so hard. and he also gets the absolutely hottest men to play his love interests in his mvs and that is just such a power move.

I love this! So good and realistic, imo. It goes quickly, but like you said, it doesn't feel rushed. I hope you start I Promised You the Moon after you finish this season.
