The great thing about these selections is I believe majority of them are pretty short series, which means quicker rotation of shows!
I believe we have 3 Korean BL’s and 1 Thai BL and 1 Taiwanese BL!

I didn’t really enjoy the first couple, I saw so many problematic shit that she keeps doing in her couples and I don’t even know why people kept recommending it for payurain. Prapaisky though, I do kinda hate myself for loving them. They’ve been on my mind a lot and if they had a whole series to themselves it would’ve been amazing but sadly they decided to focus more on the problematic ship. Yes there is serious SA triggers for the second half, the couple isn’t the one with the SA though. In general, I have whole rants about the author and her terrible views and my intense dislike of her. Prapaisky could’ve honestly been her holy grail if she wasn’t so… ugh. Also I definitely recommend watching season 2 of to my star. It’s just such a beautiful season that enhances the first, it’s a lot of pain but it’s worth it!

Honestly I stopped watching Love in the Air around the 5th episode because I wasn’t connecting with the characters, and the explicit scenes made me feel like a voyeur 😬 It felt more like a story about sexual discovery than ‘love’ or romance. Of course there’s nothing wrong with that theme itself but i definitely picked up on the fetishization vibes you described. I think if there are minors on this tier, the reactions might need to be age-restricted somehow. Plus I heard from friends who finished the series that the 2nd half calls for some serious SA trigger warnings, so I’m a little worried about that.

Something about the way the romantic relationship between the characters was portrayed gave me an ick, probably because it gave me the feeling of just fetishizing gay relationships for the audience and the "hot" scenes and not to portray a queer relationship and story. Like some bls just give me the feeling that it's targeted for the entertainment of cishet women and not for people in the lgbtq+ community, but maybe it's bcs I'm a lesbian who's just looking for good representation and well thought out queer stories. But also the author for Love in the Air has written a lot of problematic things, so I just stopped watching it after I realized who wrote the original story and is benefiting from it lol. I really enjoyed Blueming and the cinematography is stunning. We Best Love I didn't enjoy it much at first but after completing it all I actually really loved it. I watched To my Star as well and I remember that I had a lot of fun with it in the moment, but I don't really remember specific scenes and I haven't seen season 2.

I don’t know how I’d be able to keep track of all the shows and movies I want to watch without this page. If you set up an account (free) you can create your own lists or use the default lists: Currently Watching, Plan to Watch, Completed, On Hold, Dropped, Not Interested. Each show page is similar to IMDb and even has links to related series or extras or spin-offs. Plus, there’s lists galore and current articles about actors, new shows, etc.
