Tired Birb Process + PSD

For some reason I had the vision in my head, but it just didn't come off right to me when it came time to execute, and I ultimately decided that going the Fancy Rendering route didn't do it for me. I figured it'd be neat to show you guys the other 2 attempts anyway here.
I guess in my eyes too much got lost in translation from lineart to color and things were more immediately readable with the final one I put up earlier, even if these are fine in their own merit. This, on top of not using colors that lean a little too heavy into "sex lighting/mood" like here but I am not above using such atmosphere for a future piece instead. Lol.
