Growing increasingly obsessed, he rushes to complete his work before his hands become too pawlike to hold the apparatus, and his voice too distorted to dictate his findings to the tape recorder.

But why use the serum on himself when there are so many willing or unwilling subjects. There was a 1970’s adaptation of The Island of Dr. Monroeu where the doctor tried to turn a hapless victim into a panther. Sadly he didn’t succeed. There was another 70’s tf movie where a mad scientist DID turn a guy completely into a cobra. It was called… Sssss… yes… that is the title. 😅
