Barrels, crates, shadows; you search everywhere and find nothing. He has to be here… unless he only passed through.”

MAP DESCRIPTION
Descending the stairs leading to the Tavern Cellar, you reach a stone-carved room used to store and preserve wine.
The cool, humid air is heavy with the scent of wood and the rich aroma of cured meats hanging to dry.
The main room is spacious and relatively orderly, packed with supplies, barrels, crates, and shelves filled with packages and tools.
Beyond the main hall, a door secured with a heavy bolt seals access to a secondary storage area, where large aging barrels rest inside deep niches carved into the rock.
Few know that, besides fine wine, these rooms hold something far more valuable: a hidden passage concealed within one of the large barrels.
Where does it lead?
Climbing inside is probably the only way to find out.
NOTES
Map Style & Tactics: Tavern Cellar offers multiple hiding spots, interconnected rooms for planning encounters, and strong narrative flexibility.
The Passage: This map hides a secret exit inside a barrel set into the left wall of the final room.
Versatile Background: What is the hidden passage used for? Wine smuggling? A discreet escape route from the city?
Or are the characters secretly entering the cellar, using the passage to infiltrate the building above?
This cellar can fit many different scenarios.
Fire and Wine: A cellar filled with alcohol may, or may not, be a good place to use fire, depending on how much collateral damage you are willing to allow.
The Central Beams: Players (or the DM) can take advantage of the raised beams to hide and launch surprise attacks from above.
The Entrance: This map can easily be inserted into many settings. Behind trapdoors or hidden doors, the Tavern Cellar can expand a wide range of adventures.
