Welcome back Fellow Darkish!
Advancing through the Jungle, you find yourselves facing a deep ravine that splits the terrain.
Connecting the two sides is a long, rickety wooden bridge. Will it hold the weight of your heaviest members? It’s best to prepare thoroughly before attempting to cross.

MAP DESCRIPTION:
Jungle Bridge is an ancient structure, built by who knows who, spanning the rocky sides of the ravine.
The bridge is the only access to the other side of the area, and just beyond it lies a place you absolutely need to reach.
The thick ropes of the bridge are frayed, and it’s hard to tell if there are any weak points.
The old wooden planks are worn from time and rain, and it’s easy to imagine they might be rotten in various spots.
It’s far from certain that the bridge will hold.
The terrain around the chasm is rocky, but rich vegetation spreads from both sides, soon becoming a dense jungle full of hidden enemies and secrets to uncover.
It’s best to cross while you’re alone.
You certainly don’t want to fight something or someone on that precarious bridge.
NOTES
Jungle Bridge is a simple yet effective encounter map. Fighting flying enemies or those shooting arrows or casting spells from the other side while you risk falling into the river below is a classic, always thrilling scenario.
The bridge can collapse for various reasons, from enemy attacks to the sheer weight of the adventurers.
Falling into the river means being separated from the rest of the group and being swept away to who knows where, making the bridge potentially very impactful on the progression of your adventure and offering unexpected narrative twists.
The jungle surrounding the bridge can hide countless monsters and characters that might attack at the worst moments.
Escaping from someone or chasing someone can make crossing the bridge much more risky and frantic.
