Welcome back Fellow Darkish!
Unlike the wealthier parts of the city, this maze of streets reeks of poverty and fish.
Groups of poorly dressed people drink and gamble in the alleys, while kids on the rooftops throw pebbles at well-dressed foreigners before hiding behind walls.
You instinctively tighten your coin purses.

MAP DESCRIPTION:
Slum Quarter is a poor district where the houses are simple stone constructions huddled together without any aesthetic sense.
High walls hide the poor people and the sight of the rickety planks connecting the rooftops from the delicate eyes of the inhabitants of the wealthier neighborhoods.
Among the streets, stalls sell basic necessities, but also suspiciously exotic goods that probably didn’t end up on those tables legally.
The dock in the district likely unloads more than just fish.
The area is characterized by numerous wooden walkways connecting the rooftops, as if it were normal for its inhabitants to move quickly and unseen by anyone.
Knowing where to pass, you can reach practically anywhere without stepping on the streets.
NOTES
Slum Quarter is designed to be a map for dynamic and exciting chases along its rooftops and streets: will you chase criminals or escape from the city guard?
Criminal gangs find a perfect base in Slum Quarter. Henchmen and spies can suddenly appear from its dark corners or watch you from the rooftops.
The entire district is explorable from above: Climb the numerous ladders, crates, and awnings to reach anywhere you want!
The hatches on the roofs can be entry points into buildings, but beware of enemies who might suddenly emerge from there to surprise you!
Move smartly if you plan to fight in this area: being caught off guard by an enemy attack from above can cost you dearly.
Our Black Market is a perfect map to be played in combination with this one, and the two areas are practically adjacent. A pickpocket who robs you in the Black Market would probably head here.
The dock in a district like this likely hosts smugglers and the loading and unloading of suspicious or stolen goods.
We return to the city in this map after exploring various types of territories, just as we would in-game after a quest!
In this month’s poll map, you chose to have an Arena win, but no specific suggestions came in.
We didn’t want to miss any suggestions from you Fellow Darkish, so we decided to create not only an Arena to our liking, which you will see published in the coming days, but also another map that you requested but whose theme did not win.
The proposal asked for a map suitable for hosting rooftop chases, and it seemed like a perfect excuse to expand our city with a poor district that you could use in combination with the Black Market!
In addition to the possibility of exploring and running across the rooftops, we tried to develop interesting streets and settings for your adventures in shady neighborhoods.
Soon we will also propose interiors suitable for this type of atmosphere!
In the near future, we will try to greatly expand the city and realize the many suggestions you leave in the surveys, even those that do not win but that we think might be interesting for the community! We take every comment and request into consideration, so leave us plenty!
The perfect map for your adventures could arrive when you least expect it!
That’s all for this map, Fellow Darkish, we’ll see you very soon here on Patreon for the second post of the month!
We wish you, as always, great adventures and NAT20!
