Welcome back Fellow Darkish!
You weren’t quite sure what the “X” on the map given to you by that unwilling bandit represented, but the last thing you expected to find was a pirate hideout.
Since you’re here, it’s probably worth figuring out where they keep the loot, right?

MAP DESCRIPTION:
The entrance to the Pirate Dungeon is unassuming and well-hidden, difficult to spot unless you know what to look for.
Inside, a long and intricate tunnel twists and turns, full of narrow passages and waterlogged areas.
It might seem like a wild and unexplored zone, if not for the torches scattered along the way, clearly indicating that someone frequently traverses these paths.
At the end of the path, the wreck of an old ship converted into a Secret Base and numerous tents reveal that the Dungeon is used as a hideout by some well-organized group.
The scaffolding allows you to reach the camp safely, but you’re completely exposed to the view of any guards.
The area, though spacious, is easily defensible, and assaulting it would require a good plan.
On the right, well-hidden, a small entrance leads to the treasure.
Can you load it all into the two small boats? It would be wise for the wizard to avoid hitting them with a Fireball during the fight.
NOTES
Pirate Dungeon offers a wide variety of possible combats. The beach, the interior of the dungeon, and the Secret Base will require different strategies to tackle and may host various types of monsters and enemies.
The Beach and the beginning of the Dungeon might be infested with aquatic or flying monsters.
Be careful with the water inside the cave. You never know what might be watching you from the darkness of those pools.
Sentinels patrolling the Dungeon could be encountered. Ambushing them silently and stealing their clothes, keys, or interrogating them are all good options, but be careful not to let them call for reinforcements or alert the entire Base.
The Secret Base will be full of guards and well-organized people ready to defend it, do not underestimate the combat. Assaulting it without a plan could be lethal.
The Treasure is truly enormous and rich with weapons, jewels, magical trinkets, scrolls, and books. Everything the party could desire is in those sacks, waiting for you to take it!
Here is the Pirate Dungeon that won the June Poll!
We think it’s perfect to use with many of our latest maps, like the Tropical Shipwreck! It took us a while, but we hope you like the result!
We really love the base, with all those bones, those tattered but colorful fabrics, and the half-ship stuck inside.
At the beginning of August, we will open the new Poll, and we are really curious to see what else you will challenge us with!
Don’t forget to vote for the type of map you would like us to create and, if you want, leave us a detailed comment describing the map!
Even if a comment is not chosen immediately, we always consider all the suggestions we receive to understand what our dear Fellow Darkish would like us to create!
As always, we invite you to leave us your Feedback, advice, and suggestions, and we thank you for your support!
See you soon for the third and final Map of July!
