It looks very much like the decorated matchlock held at Rufford Old Hall, in Lancs. It too has a large vertical extension (for a pan retention screw) at the rear of the pan. It does look, at first glance like a doglock's frizzen though.

Is that supposed to be a matchlock action or a flintlock? Because it’s the latter usually the frizzen and the flash pan is where cock and flint usually is almost like there reversed. But in any case it’s very beautiful drawn and the maid is extremely cute!
