IMPORTANT! This is my income from here on. New stuff on the way.
Added 2024-07-12 20:11:35 +0000 UTCAs of 2:30 today, I am no longer a John Deere employee. I was a factory worker for almost 6 years, but not anymore. So, from here on, the money I make from this patreon and commissioned art will be my main source of income. So here’s what that means.
Firstly, I was spending a good chunk of my weekly time at that job. With that out of the way, I can now spend all my work time focusing on making art for you guys and commissioners. That means each day I plan to devote about 4-5 hours to private commissioned work, and then 4-5 hours to making art solely for the patreon. At the moment, my first order of business will be to finish coloring Multiverse Marines. I have 7 animations left to do. I will finish them over the next 2 weeks before the end of July.
Secondly, since I will be doing art mainly as my income, I need to pump up the consistency and amount of work I can take on. Now over the past few weeks I have taken on a backlog of commissined work, some of which are for the higher tier patrons. I feel this work will be enough to keep me busy over the next few weeks. However, once that list begins to thin out I plan to open more slots in the higher tiers. Now, I don’t expect to do that this month, as my workload is already extensive, but expect those slots to open sometime in August.
Thirdly, you guys will be seeing posts from me MUCH more often from here on. For the rest of this month that means completing Multiverse Marines, but starting next month, I will be starting a set of weekly projects tied to specific days. For example, I think I’ll not only do the weekend raffles, but also some polled drawings on another set weekday. These could be themed. Somethinfg like “Mane Monday” focused on showcasing a character’s hair, or another one that same week could be about a Heidi or OC specific scene. These could be single character drawings, comic, or animations. I also want to loop back on a previous idea and start another long term animation, by rotoscoping a shave scene from tv or film. This is a broad and vague plan for now, but the exact schedule will take more form starting next month.
That’s basically the news. Outside of drawing, I have some personal life stuff I am working on too. I’m devoting a little time each day to fixing up my house, and of course making time for friends and family more than I have been. So yeah, this is the start of a new era for the patreon. I hope you guys stick around for all the fun things to come.
