This is the new and improved version of my earlier Outdoor Tweaks mod — but now it’s 100% script-based. It replaces inconsistent object tunings in the game without touching any tuning files. That means: no overrides, no conflicts, no patch headaches.

📢 Important Note About Outdoor Tweaks

The old Outdoor Tweaks mod is now officially discontinued. You can safely delete it from your Mods folder.

Why? Because this new script-based mod does everything the old version did — and more — but in a much cleaner and safer way. No tuning files are overridden.

Important note: During development, I noticed that EA has already fixed some of the original object tuning issues in recent patches. That means my custom overrides for those particular objects have become obsolete and are no longer necessary. This new version takes that into account and respects EA’s fixes, replacing only what's still broken.

What's this mod about?

Many EA objects — especially “outdoor” items like folding chairs, camping lamps, meditation pillows — look like they should be portable, but aren’t. Either they’re missing Live Drag support, or their tuning simply doesn't allow them to be carried in inventory.

This mod dynamically fixes that:

🛠 Replaces incorrect tunings on the fly
💼 Adds missing Live Drag components for carryable objects
⚙️ Works entirely via Python script injection — zero overrides

In case of errors, the mod will automatically create a log file in the game’s main directory.

Objects from Little Campers Kit (SP33):

Bring Your Own Pillow (Spa Day game pack required)
Little Pals Folding Table (Outdoor Retreat game pack required)
Little Pals Folding Chair (now Base Game compartible)*
Ultimate Fantasy Blanket Fort (now Base Game compartible)*

*Previously required Outdoor Retreat game pack (GP01)

For the other previously overridden objects, EA has already updated their tuning to the correct one. However, I’ve added Live Drag support to all inventory-compatible objects from the Little Campers Kit that were still missing it — even if they were already allowed in inventory.

More Outdoor Chairs

Folding Chairs from EP03, EP06, SP12, SP33 (was already in the old mod)
Folding and Plastic Chairs from Base Game, SP08, EP15, EP16 (NEW)

The replacement tuning is also taken from the Base Game, since a portable chair is already included there. This means no Outdoor Retreat are needed.

More Portable Lamps - NEW!

EP08 (Discover University) introduced a tuning for portable table lamps — wonderful! Too bad it's not used more widely across other packs... I’ve now applied this tuning to several small table lamps from the Base Game, EP01, EP03, EP12, and SP16. I hope it works well in your game! Attention: You’ll only get this functionality if you have EP08 (Discover University) installed.

🧠 No Addons, No Hassle

You no longer need to worry about installing separate addon packages or manually checking which packs you own. This mod is now fully script-based and pack-aware — it automatically checks which expansions you have installed and only applies the appropriate replacements.

🧪 Testing — Feedback Welcome

I’ve already tested the mod thoroughly myself, and everything seems to be working as intended — but I’d really appreciate a bit of wider testing now. If you come across anything unusual or have feedback, feel free to reach out!

If you know any other objects with annoying tunings — let me know! I'm open to suggestions and happy to expand the mod where it makes sense. Just keep in mind: it’s not always technically possible or reasonable — sometimes there’s simply no suitable replacement tuning in the game.
