I updated the mod to the latest game version, slightly improved the design and added some new features. The mod's code was completely rewritten from scratch.

The journal now has a new “Confess...” category. Your Sims can confess in their diary:
Fears (BaseGame friendly) - NEW!

Wants (EP10 required)
These interactions give your Sim corresponding buffs, but have no influence on skills or life skills.
Improvement of the Purchase Picker
The purchase pickers on the computers and on the bookshelves will have a separate category for private journals so that you can find all journals more quickly. There are also more private journal covers on sale now.
✒️ Mod Description
With this mod you get three new interaction groups with the diary journal:
Skills (affecting skill development, five skills at the moment).
Positive Emotions (influencing the development of all positive life skills).
Negative Emotions (influencing the development of all positive life skills).
Secrets (with various emotional buffs).
The Skill interactions (practicing writing, writing jokes, solving math problems, prepare for debate, create sketches) develop some of your Sims' skills. I intentionally didn't implement all interactions like "Practice XY Skill" here, but only those that could fit a diary.
The Life Skills interactions can influence your Sim (Child or Teen) to positively or negatively develop Life Skills (Responsibility, Manners, Empathy, Conflict Resolution, Emotional Control). These interactions are also unlocked for adult Sims, but no longer affect life skill development. However, the adult Sims can receive certain buffs and emotions. This can also be used for story telling. The menu names are subject to change and are not the same for children and adults.
The new Confess Secrets interactions (write wish, confess fears, describe romantic memory fantasize about weddings) are additional Emotional Interactions that give your Sims various buffs. These are nice interactions for story telling.

This mod almost exclusively uses strings from the game and therefore requires no translations.

Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack (GP05) is of course required!
The Lot 51 Core Library Script is required!
You have to allow the scripts in your game settings.

Love the latest updates you have made to the journal mod! It is so dynamic now and reminds me so much of the journals I used and dropped over the years as a kid. The romantic memory interaction especially hit me with nostalgia about teen shows where the older sibling would write about their secret crush in their journal and then the siblings would snoop and find it and then tease them about it.
