Your 2-Minute March Update

Good morning, and merry March! I don't know about you, but I feel like I nodded off at the start of February and woke up to find that it's March already.

...Not to say we didn't get any work done! On the contrary, February 2021 has been the largest content release in 2-Minute Tabletop history.

Our February Content

As you might remember, I chose February to be my personal "catch up on things" month, and I have been working hard behind the screen to bring you a speedy new website, get David's Dungeondraft packs published, and even squeeze a game of D&D in. I'm much happier after getting through so much, even if the list is far from done!

While I was so distracted, we commissioned our extended team to put together a killer list of content for you:

Animated tokens - what are those? In short, we've given idle animations to a select few tokens and bundled them with the maps listed above. These tokens are .webm files and work the same way as any other token in Roll20, Foundry VTT, and most other VTTs – and they're charming beyond belief!

This looping preview's a .gif file, but the .webm versions are higher quality and have transparent backgrounds!

Though these animated tokens are Silver+ level rewards, I've attached one below for you to try out. Just drop it into your VTT like any other token (but keep an eye on it, it's a mischievous one).

In addition to our Patreon content, we published the following adventures and articles to our website:

That final article is special in that it's written by our newest team member, Garm! Please welcome him on Discord (@Garmbreak1) or in the comments below. I'm excited to share more of his writing with you in the weeks to come. :)

Our March Plans

I'm picking up the pen again at last, and we're getting back to our tried-and-true routine! You can expect more maps by me, variants by Rooty, and tokens by Austin and David to come. On the website, Troy and Garm are also writing furiously to bring you more adventures, encounters, and resources for your game.

What do you think of our February content? Would you like to see more maps from Rooty and the rest of the community? Do you have any opinions or bug reports regarding the new site? What is your impression of our animated tokens

February's been a grand experiment, but we need your feedback to make any sense of it. Please leave a comment below!

Comments

I've replied to your comment on the blog post already, but you only need to worry about the entries under "Everything Pack" which should appear on your Downloads page now. :)

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

So now, not only am I unable to figure out the overall organization (despite kind replies from Ross), I can't even find the post I just made asking the following question (which I'll have to ask again): On 'My Downloads' (https://2minutetabletop.com/my-account/downloads/) I see 248 entries. I'm afraid that I haven't been keeping up (from month-to-month) with downloading these items. Is there a streamlined method for downloading them all? Or will I have to go through and click each individually? (oops, the 'naked-enter' got me again, and I posted before completing) Thanks, - s.west

Great work! the Night version of the sacred spring is particularly fantastic!

Got it! Thanks for the quick reply.

Robert Martin

On Patreon we currently keep them all in the packs listed here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/your-guide-to-2-42229775 I also plan to attach them to new posts so you can update your collection as we go, but we haven't commenced with that habit just yet. :)

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

When I check the downloads in my account on the website, I don't see anything tagged with "Dungeondraft". Did I need to purchase something different to get them to be packaged for Dungeondraft? TIA.

Robert Martin

I love the mix of tokens and maps. It's really helping me flesh out encounters. I've used them a lot for "Town NPCs" like shop keepers or "commoners"

Gaëtan Perrault

Indeed, they'd be perfect for those!

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

loved the animated token, hope you can more of those for bosses and important NPCs

Victor Hugo

Lovely!
