Dungeon Jail Map Variants

Here are eight (in all) versions of my Dungeon Jail battle map. When painting caves and dungeons I often ponder a long time on how dark I should make them -- should I keep them bright and readable, or dark and atmospheric? I'm glad that I can now explore both styles! So, in lieu of the night-time variants, we now have dark variants;

This time I shot for a cold, frosted version, a sandstone Arabian version, and a green-lit cultist lair. They even cook their food with that green flame!

I hope you enjoy these. Let me know what other color variations you would like to see on subterranean maps! Stone only comes in so many variations, and I think these make for a good variety.

Thanks William! I draw at half scale in fact, mostly because scanning anything larger becomes a nightmare. I've developed my method so as not to lose any detail though!

I think this is my favorite map of yours, so far! It is so classic and the style/layout fits the best thematically and tactically with my campaign. I'm curious what size paper you drew the lineart for this on and the scale. Do you do 1 inch x 1 inch grids, or smaller when drawing?

I think this is a very good balance between the need for multiple map variants and the reality of how color (and stone!) works. Useful and atmospheric, A+
