The Desert Temple

A high wall with a single entrance stands unmoving in a sea of blazing white sand.


This battle map is the canonical entrance to our previous Desert Catacomb and Tomb. It is a tall gateway flanked on either side by seated stone golems and baked by a white-hot sun. 

I imagine that the golems are waiting to break free and defend the site, but they might just be for decoration if you would prefer a sphinx or another guardian. Besides them, the three stairways and elevation changes should offer some choice once initiative is rolled. I have also included sealed doorways on the left and right should you desire to surround your players with reinforcements!

Ive mentioned before on the discord, but i plan on using all the temple exteriors (and interiors if u make them ;) ) in a Zelda-esque way for my players to defeat the BBEG

Very nice! I like that it gives off an impressive feeling despite being mostly simple lineart. There's plenty of space for characters and other features, it's got multiple levels to the terrain that promote more varied battle tactics, and the big door can easily be an objective to aim for or simply a natural entrance to another map. I like it a lot!
