70 More Wonderdraft Town & City Assets

Greetings, Patrons! I have been juggling a few projects at once (again) and this has pushed back most of my release to the back half of the month (again). It's not the best way to get noticed on social media or the smartest way to release content, but darn is it more enjoyable for me. I think I just need to get ahead of my release schedule, and then everyone wins? I'll figure it out!

Anyway, this latest piece of content is 70 new assets for building city and town maps. It is part three in our growing collection, and leans towards larger buildings as well as many odds and ends that have been requested over time.

Currently only the world map level assets are actually packaged for Wonderdraft, but I plan on updating the other packs over the next week so that you can easily import them all into Wonderdraft. Big thanks to @krautpotato on Discord for doing most of the work.

And for all of you who don't use Wonderdraft, you will find 300 DPI assets for your standard image editor inside the ZIP alongside assets optimized for Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds.

I'm sure that there are many more city assets that I've missed, so please let me know in the comments so that I can add them to the next pack I make a few months from now. I'd also love to see your creations in Discord or on our Community tab on Patreon.

Now I'm off to finish off some railway assets. Till then, enjoy!

Thanks to Patrons like you these assets are released under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.

EDIT: The new ZIP file now contains the Wonderdraft package.

Thanks Ian, these are going on my list!

These are awesome, and are the reason I started following you on Patreon--and will continue to follow you, too! I love how your style seems sketched and loose but hides so many great details. I will often start adventures by plopping some elements down and seeing how they might relate. To that end I'd love to see more key buildings and elements that could lead to great adventure hooks in a city-level map. Some ideas for you: - A smattering of houses and inns built in trees, a la The Inn of the Last Home from Dragonlance. - More construction sites for PCs to leap around James Bond style. Maybe a keep or a church under construction. - Alchemists hut, with barrels and pipes, and maybe some scorch marks from failed experiments. - A zoo, or menagerie for dangerous and exotic creatures. - A toppled tower. - A hedge maze.

Yeah I think more building variety would be good, I make do in general by stacking them on top of each other but to have more things to play with would be interesting! Also the big buildings (church, library...) in this iteration are amazing, they can easily be used to make other things (Magic University, Prison...). I think also more small items like bushes, market stalls, etc are interesting to populate certain zones

Valentin

I'm sure there will be more! What are you after, just more building varieties? That editor is indeed on its way, slowly but surely. :)

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Months later I still use all of your city assets! Can we expect more medieval city assets soon? Also weren't you talking about an editor to generate them all with custom colors?

Valentin

Alright. : )

Maxime Durocher

Haha, part 1 & 2 were not labelled as Wonderdraft but are the same stuff. They just need to be organized into a Wonderdraft-friendly folder structure. The collection so far: https://www.2minutetabletop.com/product-category/map-assets/wonderdraft-assets/

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Quick question: Are part 1 and part 2 next on your todo list? : )

Maxime Durocher

So good! If these keep coming I might end up mapping the WHOLE city my game is run on in a 5ft square grid just because!

Rodrigo Quaresma de Andrade

Thanks for the Wonderdraft folder!

Maxime Durocher

Perfect feature! Awesome job there mate

Valentin

That's the plan: choose your palette and then export them all with said palette. With curated palettes, too!

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Oh sick! Any way it could be a bulk edit instead of a per building customisation?

Valentin

I want to instead automate the process with our token editor so that you can choose any color under the sun. :)

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Oh lawd

GMagnus

That's so amazing! Going to use them right away! Your first set had each buildings in both red and blue; are you going to do the same?

Valentin

Wonderdraft isn't mine, just the assets I make and make compatible for it. My assets (and maps made with them) are released under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. I often let people use them commercially though, so please PM me if you have any plans!

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Sure! I have a search bar at the very top of the gallery, above the site navigation. Here is all we have so far for Jungles, but I am planning on doing a Jungle month soon! https://www.2minutetabletop.com/?s=jungle&post_type=product&title=1&excerpt=1&content=1&categories=1&attributes=1&tags=1&sku=1&orderby=date-DESC&ixwps=1

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Wonderdraft is yours, right? To clarify, maps created in Wonderdraft are clear to use for commercial purposes (IE mod writing for DMs Guild or DriveThruRPG)?

Dipper

Is there a way to search your posts? I'd like to find everything jungle related, and the best I've been able to do is trigger the Battle Mat filter on the left side.

Cannot wait to finish my city now!

Smoke! Banners! Merchant stalls! Mansions and a cathedral!! You're really spoiling us. ;)

Marianne Rogers

Looks great!! I can't wait to use these :)

Yeaa boiiiiiii
