Your 2-Minute September Update

August Maps & Assets

This August we drew a hill for our keep, began a set of infinitely-tiling sewer tunnels, and made a solid start on a steam train. I have been refining and practising my Photoshop brushwork and leaning further in with the line art. Altogether, a good month of progress!

The Banahogg

In addition to these maps and assets, Troy has released a trio of articles outlining the Banahogg, a horror-genre swamp of his own creation. You can read through these here:

My plans for September

Mostly, I intend to expand upon what we've started in August. The Sewer Tiles deserve a collection of platforms, pipes, drains, debris, and other such things to break up the monotony. The steam train also deserves some cargo cars and a caboose at the least.

Besides these two packs, I may make an early start on some Halloween-themed stuff, since that is always so much fun. Did someone say windmill?

Though my plans are already laid out, they are not set in stone. please let me know what you would like to see, especially if they are items you would like included in those aforementioned asset packs.

I'm going to get started right away. Till next time!

Having something at that scale would be nifty for mountain villages, and cities carved out the side of a mountain (Minas Tirith, for instance). I'm thinking of the Diyun city map, which is built on a broken-up cliff on the shoreline. Being able to build the underlying terrain that shows big elevation changes would be fantabulous.

Some perfect matching assets are in the Roadside Forest Tokens pack, like the Rocky Slope Ridge. I try to build bigger cliffs out of the Rocks and Grass Slopes included there, but it would be really nice to have some varieties of the Rocky Slope Ridge?

I noticed that you have a lot of fitting resources already! My solution is to hack your art and mash it together. I love your stuff man https://forums.runehammer.online/t/makin-them-sweet-maps/2479

On a city map scale? There are some mountains in the Wonderdraft Assets pack bu they are on a continental sort of scale.

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

I will be, but I can't promise that I can squeeze it in between this month's plans and next month's Halloween fun.

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

I love your City/Map Assets! The only thing I am struggling with is making nice looking cliffs/mountains. Any chance we can get a few asset pieces for that?

Have you had any thoughts doing Desert-terrain stuff?

GMagnus

If we're already talking about Halloween... I was desperately looking the other day for cut limbs to decorate my battle map 😅 #Psycho

I'm woefully unfamiliar with all the conventions over here. I would like to, but I don't have any plans yet.

The most exciting part of drawing this train is thinking about how to put fun twists on it later, yeah! It will be a fun thing to come back to every now and then once the base is out.

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Sure, if it gets good feedback I want to make such an expansion pack with all sorts of bends and such.

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Hey Ross, unrelated question: Are you going to do any conventions around Melbourne sometime soon?

Valentin

The train's looking really cool. I hope we see some standard cars, like storage and dinning etc, and also maybe some odder cars. taverns, kitchens...an arcane study, maybe cars that are homes themselves etc. There are some fun stories to tell with some odder train cars. (maybe even an alternately powered engine; running on magic?)

Any chance the sewer set could get a diagonal and circular options? I could see a cistern circular larger tile being very useful as well!
