April 2019

March has come to another photo finish, with the lighthouse & precipice combo just making it! Besides this stormy cliff and sizeable lighthouse we also released the lush green Highland Pass, and the enormous airship maps & assets pack.

I intended to make a start on the Monster Manual in March, but it looks like it will be an April project. Tokens are a huge undertaking for me and take significantly more time than maps, and I just ran out of time this last month and diverted to a base for the lighthouse.

Besides tokens, I'd like to make another map assets pack. What would you all like to see? The precipice map has made me consider an ocean encounter pack, with tiling water in several color schemes and a bunch of rocks, driftwood, ship debris, and things of that sort.

I'm looking forward to reading your comments, as I always do!

Finally, you can grab a free $1 map with the coupon proteinpowderplantmix valid until the end of April. You can browse the selection here

Awesome, thank you. Sorry for posting that question twice.

These are PMd to you for the maps that you pledge towards. The Lighthouse will be on its way in a few minutes, for example!

I'm slowly cooking up an island city/town, but not sure how populated it will be yet. ;)

Woo! Based on the waves behind the Precipice, I'm excited!

Some desert themed maps, some kind of roadside camp like you've done previously or maybe another desert themed city or town like Woodside or Greybanner?

Where do we "Access to the source Photoshop files for all the maps you pledge towards."? If we are a Gold Supporter.

now to keep it nautical, in dutch there's a saying " the best sailor are standing on the shore" so what i'm sugesting might not be totally feasable or pretty. but it's just what i came up with just now

It could be simple as 3 sizes of bows, Sternes and midsections and then you can make it as long and short as you want (for example at the moment i need a long but thin cargo ship that i can adjust with this pack, but all ships i find follow typical size ratios for fantasy or historical). For a little flair several types of bows and sterns per size could be added. For something more complicated thats tougher indeed. I suppose if we had just walls and doorways, of several styles, sizes, etc which we could cut to size to create the inside of the ship, paste them over a large deck texture (metal, wood, etc.) that would work for the inside of such a cramped space, but the ship shape and upper decks are harder, this system would not really fit in the vision of your existing products since it requires a bit more work and skill of the user i suppose. maybe a combo of the two, the decks created from a tile system (small 1 tile and wide multi tile decks) and the bows and sterns for it. then the interior with a wall system instead of a room system. you'd need a bigger plain ship asset pack as well to complement it i guess, to place the masts, and rigging where you like. in overall the ships might look a bit simpler, but have the potential to go from smal dinghy's to sailing fortresses

I think this month will be ocean-themed, but I'm saving this idea for later. ;)

Other idea: more texture and edge assets. Those are a game changer for me. Being able to transition from grass to dirt to pavement neatly is the bee's knees lol, and I'll eat up any tiling texture you create if it comes with some edging assets.

How about a "Cliffs and Hills" asset pack? The Highland Pass has some pretty fantastic verticality with its ridges and slopes, and it'd be great to be able to do more of those. Not all combat is on level terrain! Your forest assets have a little cliff and a little slope (which I used! I made this: https://imgur.com/qn6kOpn woo!) but I'd love something similar to the dungeon builder walls. Those work in a pinch right now, but a softer, more outdoors-ey version would be pretty sweet to use as hill slopes and ridges. It'd work really well with the waterfall in the river assets, and for roads going through any non-flat terrain. And pretty much any building like a tower on a hill lol.

Akin to the "Abandoned quarry" map, a central bottomless pit, and a spiraling descent, of neatly carved stone stairway portions to periolous wooden scaffoldings quick-renovations to parts that have fallen off. Maybe, similar to the otherworldy portal collab map, a slanted desent into an cavern's entrance, with small pallisades in the way to protect against what may come out.

What sort of grand entrance comes to your mind?

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

More Eastern Asian maps would be cool

An "entrance to the underdark" map. I've been using your battle maps for a while and my players all loved them. It was easy for me to find one that matched the terrain, to choose some when preparing a session and building around it, and to make my own with the help of the map packs when I needed something specific. I'm wanting to bring 'em down to the underdark and I want to make their entrance memorable. :)

If I could come up with a way to do it that grants a large amount of customization I would. What are you envisioning?

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

Haha, indeed! I'll edit that now.

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

You probably meant to write "[...] valid until the end of April", right? :)

a ship assets set but to build the actual ships, not just furnish or accesorize them. the next dnd book released ships and ship combat :)

Jelle

Hi Lucho, I'll send you a PM. If anyone else runs into this issue, please PM me. :)

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

This sounds amazing!

That Airship Pack is probably one of my favorite things you've done yet! I think an Ocean Encounter pack would be perfect considering the upcoming Ghosts of Saltmarsh book. I'd love to see more boats like a Galley or a Longship

Hi! I can't log into my account anymore :( it doesn't recognize my e-mail address

Lucho Castro

I had no idea! It seems like a no brainer then, thanks. :)

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop

I'd say definitely go for some oceanic assest! With Ghosts of Saltmarsh coming out in May, people might just be thirsting for them ;D
