The Haunted Mansion

The first piece to our spooky October project, the unfurnished mansion!

This two storey mansion is based on an encounter my brother Troy created, which was in turn based on the 1890 residence of Henry R. Towne ESQ.

As you can see, it is quite unfurnished. I wanted to break this project down into modular pieces (see the Buildings Pack prerelease) so that it would be good for more than one session. Over the next days and weeks you will see the furniture, cellar, garden, and roof(s) released, and a nice big prebuilt/furnished map too! But, for now, I only have pieces to share. <3

I hope you're excited to see the rest of this project come together! It may just be my largest yet, so I'm glad it's to support such a grand mansion. I'd love to hear you all brainstorm encounter ideas in the comments for the garden-mansion-cellar combo!

Thanks to you, this map is released under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.

Thanks! It was in fact a real 1890's house which I used as a case study, so it's as legitimate as can be.

Amazing. I especially love all the little rooms and hallways that add just the right amount of realism.

Do you think it would be possible to see what the front of the house looks like? I'm starting a new campaign at level 1 and this gives me a great starting point for an adventure. Great map and thank you.

Bravo, the RPG world needs more flexible building maps like this

Sweeet!

Strahinja Todorovic

Amazing, I love it.

Oh hell yes, just a nice neutral base that's not having to start from scratch but already has some nice sketchy character to it. :)

Good to hear! This is one reason I didn't dial up the spooky on *this version* - that will come later with the pre-furnished one included in the upcoming furniture pack. It will be suitably desaturated and web-filled!

This would have been super handy for me about three sessions ago, which means it will be super handy for me again in the future. This is great. Exactly what i need for the mansion of my medium bad guy whose cover is that he is a respected merchant and a pillar of the community.
