I'm In The Mood For Spooky

My September has been filled to bursting, how about you? Talk about a photo finish.
(Please just pretend with me that I'm posting this on time, and that the Castle Town came out days ago).

It's October now though, and that's the perfect excuse to visit some old cliches on the fantasy world. I'm thinking graveyards, abandoned churches, and secret crypts...
What would you suggest? I'd like to do an old fashion 2-Minute map set, so what 3-4 map combo can you think up? Let's brainstorm together in the comments!
Your $1 coupon for the month of October (only) is turnipsontoast which is good for any of our $1 maps.
A big welcome to everyone who joined us this month, and an earnest thank you to all of you for your amazing support. I still can't believe that I get to work on fantastical maps everyday and get paid for it. Really, thank you!
You'll be hearing from me soon enough. I start work on map #1 tomorrow, whatever that might be!
I am so excited to see this! I think I already know what is going to be haunting it.

Spooky manor sounds AWESOME! Maybe some spooky themed patches of vegetables/fields for the harvest season? I've been using your small homes for farm houses that would be cool to have fields or gardens to use. I'm not sure if you are looking to do smaller type things this month but maybe some more of those cool custom token things we can build themed to this month like scarecrows? Bridges and river pieces in your art style would also be cool imo!

Thank you for your suggestions everyone!
I think I am going to go with a spooky manor and (we'll see how we go) its surroundings. In my brother's campaign we recently acquisitioned a dilapidated manor, so it's the perfect opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.
My plan is to draw it unfurnished, and leave all the furniture as a new token set. I'll try and make the furniture appropriate for all sorts of villains, from vampire coffins to mad scientist labs. It will be quite the undertaking!

Okay okay, last one: a haunted (read: dead, shadowy, mist-covered) forest of rotting/twisted/corrupted trees. The sort of place an evil fey or an undead treant would take up residence and slowly pollute. I know you have a bunch of haunted wilderness maps already, but there isn't one that feels like *evil* woods, exactly.

Also: ruins of a Greco-Roman temple, complete with marble columns and shattered pediment. Maybe a ghost ship? (You could just make your earlier galleon translucent greenish with tattered sails--it would make a great set piece.) Finally, for a bit of Celtic flavor, barrow mounds!

Slime pits? Night/fog variations of previous maps? Elephant graveyard? I think a haunted house would be a pretty big project, although you could split it into attic/top floor/ground floor/basement... with lots of cobwebs and broken/rotting furniture, maybe. And there's always an Egyptian tomb! The little rock-cut tombs of the Valley of the Kings are nice little self-contained mini-dungeons, as opposed to the enormous pyramids and their associated mastaba complexes.

Oh, we could use a classic graveyard, tomb entrance and ritual room. Maybe even use some of the detail as an asset pack for random dungeon filler, like someone was looking for before.

something like a dracula castle throne room would be awesome! also a hag's den, giant skeleton graveyard, a spooky farm house?

I would love a little church set piece like the house!

Hmm... a witches house, complete with herb garden and strange stuff in the basement.
Or a sacrificial altar, found deep in some dungeon or hidden away in a castle. Channels that need to be filled with blood before you can leave the room...

A crypt under an old abandoned church/temple would be awesome. Maybe the location of a cult ritual?

Oh. As a holiday map, maybe a big corn maze with some scarecrows...that are maybe not as inanimate as they first appear...

My idea is for an old temple. It could be done as a two version map, sort of the like the cave from september. One version of the temple is the "still in use by the living" version. The other would be the "desecrated/overrun by the dead.

I would definitely love a continuation of the cave from last month. Id also love some ruins of stark white stone that is very overgrown with moss etc, with fallen pillars and a cracked and ancient throne covered in vines. Something like that’d be cool. Maybe some mountain foothills or a perilous cliffside over jagged rocks and a raging sea.

I heartily support more scary maps. I have used your graveyard and crypt maps on multiple occasions.

I could always use a manor map. Something a little fancier than the usual inns and houses.

What about an expansion to the Dungeon Builder(tm) with more Crypt or Tomb like objects, traps or tiles? I absolutely love the Dungeon and Cave building sets and I'd LOVE to see more!

Haunted manor house, ground floor and first floor as well as something spooky from the area, maybe a creepy hedge maze? A dusty old run down manor in the woods, creaky floors, cobwebs in the corners. No one goes near it because they say its haunted. People think its ghosts of the former owners, but its actually something more sinister. Your party are caught in the woods by a sudden storm and have to seek shelter from the wind and rain, one of you notices an iron gate in a wall overgrown with ivy, then entrance to this abandoned estate

Small town/village graveyard? Parts could be the main graveyard, a lone crypt or tomb, and an adjoining pumpkin patch :)
