Castle Town

EDIT : Here it is, the finished Castle Town! Though much delayed, I'm glad I took the time to polish this new town map, and I'm excited to share it with you today.

This is a small castle town on the coast, in a defensible location on a well-trafficked sea route. The township is basically there to support the castle and house its samurai.
I'd love to hear your names and lore ideas in the comments s̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶I̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶s̶t̶e̶a̶l̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶c̶a̶m̶p̶a̶i̶g̶n̶ !

Good luck! I love fish demons and I especially love the setting. :)

I run a bundle of Inuyasaha vibe/parody episodic one shots with premade characters. Words cannot begin to describe how handy your assets are. Pieces like this really inspire stuff. For this one, the party, on the trail to find the evil Ranaku finds them self in the town of Arashido, chasing rumors that one of Ranaku may be there. They've discover that since about a month prior monstrous creatures have been coming from the ocean to take any youth and dragging them out into the ocean. The lord has taken any remaining youth under their protection but they've left the town full of only older weaker folk and this is quite suspicious.
Long story short, the party has to fight fish demons. Discovers that the lord has been posessed by Ranaku's spirit and that Ranaku was trying to strike a deal with the King of the Ocean for his support in taking over the whole of Nippon by providing his people with fresh blood in the form of the local youth. Ocean King is currently unaware of this, believes the whole thing to be the people of the fishing village wanting to form a stronger bond with their neighbors.
We'll see how that goes on Monday

I love it. :o
I have a bunch of photos of castle floor plans from my Japan travels I should put together into an interior map. Alas, probably not this October!
On the other hand I could scratch a quick one up. My own players will be exploring such a fortress in a month or two.

Bakufushima was, centuries ago, a major fortress of the imperial military. It guarded a harbour of the imperial navy and contained both army barracks and a small research campus. Over time, with the conversion from shogunate to rule by princes and then to rule by bureaucrats, the value and importance of the village withered. All that remains now is a mostly abandoned castle, the ruins of parade fields, and a small fishing village with distant memories of military glory.
What nobody realizes is that the castle housed more than a small research facility; a major effort was being made to militarize summoning circles that could be used by mundane troops. Prototypes of various extraplanar yields have been mouldering for hundreds of years, and the thick holy-wax protective layers have flaked, dried, and cracked. The smallest circle prototypes, of scout imps, are about to break open and invoke the first summonings of long-forgotten demons. If adventurers don't attend to the problem quickly, more circles will be activated and perhaps even the Typhoon-class citadel assault prototype will activate.

Take good care of yourself. I've been hit hard too this August and September.
Please tokenize this (houses, shrubs, rocks, trees, road...)! I would love to be able to build villages like this. I just love your penmanship.
