The Oakenspire Treetops
Added 2018-04-13 07:39:13 +0000 UTC
This enormous battle map was made in collaboration with Evan Carothers, creator of the recently-successful Forest of Oakenspire Kickstarter!

I rarely take commissions, but Evan's concept sounded so fun to draw that I couldn't resist. On such occasions I always make sure that I retain the rights to release the eventual map on my website and Patreon, for all of you to enjoy. So, please enjoy!
This map really is much larger than my usual affair, at 24x35". Inside the ZIP you will find a PDF at full scale intended for compatible printers, but most of you will probably use either the *-A4 or *-Letter PDFs, which have been split into nine pages for your convenience.
Please let me know what you think, and what encounters you imagine playing out!
Thanks to you, this map is released under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.
Glad to have you Justin, enjoy!

I found this map on Pinterest, I'm going to be using it in an upcoming game (Any maps related to this concept would be welcome!), and just happened to be scrolling through your maps and found it here, as well, wanted to subscribe as thanks!

It’s ok, I just made a cartoon rock background from a texture online. Thanks

Hmm, I usually just use a dark color for my backdrop. The dungeon construction kit I have in the works will have some tiling rocky textures which may serve that purpose, but can you point me to a specific example?

This one is great as my players will be heading to a elven homestead. So I will use this to cut in the pathways between the buildings in the trees.
Is is possible to make a backdrop layer for building underground dungeons on.Kind of like the rock between the rooms?Kind of like tiling grass.map

I'm the guy who created the Forest of Oakenspire Kickstarter, and I just wanted to drop in and say how awesome it was working with Ross, and how amazingly thrilled I am with the quality of this awesome map. SO COOL!

Love the bigger size. Allows for more maneuverability and more opponents. I can see the players starting in the middle, getting slowly surrounded by armed troops, getting more and more frantic to cut them off before they're completely blocked.

This is so amazing. I'm running an Eberron campaign (updated to 5e), and have been planning the next leg of the adventure in a jungle/swamp setting (Shadow Marches or Xen'drik). This will make a perfect treetop city center!

This came along at a great time in my campaign. One of my PCs is a Tabaxi and the party is going to a Tabaxi settlement. This could work out really well. Thanks :-)

I don't know when I'm going to use this, but by god I'm going to find a way to use this! Outstanding work.
