Spiders at the Well (with PrintableHeroes)

This map is part of a collaboration between myself and PrintableHeroes, and includes a set of terrifying spider tokens in addition to the usual maps. If you're a fan of print & play resources, I highly recommend you check out PrintableHeroes!

The little hamlet that once stood here now lies in ruin, filled with thick webs and bear-sized spiders. The nearby townsfolk say that the hamlet's construction was abandoned when the digging of the well struck a long forgotten crypt. The echoing noises of whatever lived down there led to the hasty abandonment of the construction, and the scuttling monsters moved in some time after.

Spiders at the Well (with PrintableHeroes)

Comments

I'm currently running an Exalted 2e game with some very eccentric players, so my dungeons tend to be a little over-the-top to accommodate their silliness. In that particular dungeon (set in the abandoned tunnels of a city catacomb running parallel to the sewers) would-be bandits had begun to excavate the site for burial treasures, displacing the giant spiders that had made their home there. The dungeon's foes included poorly equipped bandits, dire rats, 3 types of spiders (hunters, web spinners, and small swarmers), plus 4 "boss" spiders (as spider colonies don't have a defined caste system). Something to think about with Spiders in particular is what is their normal food source?

Got it this morning in my email, thanks.

It should be in your inbox (<a href="https://www.patreon.com/messages/)">https://www.patreon.com/messages/)</a> but please let me know if you've not received it. I encountered a few bugs with Patreon when I posted this yesterday, and support has since addressed it. It may have affected the messaging system though. :\

You're very welcome. I'm running a spider dungeon myself in a few week's time, do you have any tips? What variety of monsters did you throw in there besides the p.328 Giant Spider? I'd love to hear more!

Is there a coupon code for the appropriate Patrons?

Thanks for the awesome map! I *just* had my players run through a heavily infested spider dungeon, so I might tease them with this location sans actual spiders. :)
