-Update on my Stella Star progress: I've finished the collar and attached it to the bikini, sewed a faux leather extension to give my boots a higher and pointed finish over my thighs, and finished the belt buckle (finally sealing it with a layer of clear resin).
Now, all that's left is creating some star-shaped tin earrings, making a wide faux-leather belt, and styling a wig (which is going to be the most expensive part of this project, getting one long and voluminous wig enough to recreate that hairstyle).
And now it's the story time about the little journey I've been on while creating this cosplay (and another one that will be a surprise).
When I decided to cosplay and finally do a Decon-chamber shoot as T’Pol, I didn’t think it through entirely (when I announced it I mean)… Jolene Blalock by that time had supernatural curves, an incredibly low body fat percentage, and great muscle definition... and here I was, choosing to do this long-awaited set during Christmas holidays! 😆
During the holidays, I completely stopped training and gained 2 or 3 kg from eating too much (festivities, plus celebrating my birthday, and several consecutive days of pizza and movies)... Normally, I wouldn’t mind too much, I really don't care if I gain or lose a little weight... but I didn’t feel quite ready to cosplay T’Pol being in my worst shape for quite some months. So, I decided to work on a couple of new cosplays in between to buy myself some time and then I threw myself into an intense workout routine. I spent all of January lifting weights again (nothing crazy, just the dumbbells I have in my home XD), and got back to belly dancing classes (which are much more physically demanding than the burlesque classes I was doing last year).
And finally, after lots of crunches and weighted squats I’m starting to see results again! Lol
I can already notice my shoulders looking a bit more toned, and I’m beginning to feel the first signs of progress after a month of training almost every day. So of course I'm still far from Jolene Blalock's insane physique but at least I feel a little more prepared for finally cosplay T’Pol on her skimpyest outfits 😂
I want to clarify that of course cosplay isn’t about your physique—it doesn’t matter if you look like the character or not (skin, face or bodyshape). What truly matters is enjoying the hobby... But for me it is also my main motivation for my "fit" journey. I personally like to get as close as possible to the characters I cosplay, whether through physique, makeup transformations, or ensuring my outfits are as accurate as possible; but that's just a personal decision I set for myself, and I don’t judge anyone for how they choose to enjoy this hobby.
