An Issue with PSO Mod? (updated)

I was reported an error related to the Purchasing System Overhaul Mod. I got the following message (quote):
"However, when my Sim tried to purchase something, the screen went dark (like it was waiting for a menu to appear) and I was unable to interact with the game and had to restart. It happens when I buy [for example] wellness items."
Please let me know your experience with this problem. I myself have seen this twice while using my mod, but could not determine the cause. It is so rare that it is not easy to find the source of the problem. Your experiences can help me a lot. If you had the same problem, please share when and where it happened.
Luckily this is NOT a critical issue. If that happens, the game menu at the top right will still be available.
So you can save and restart the game. The game save is not lost. But that's annoying, I'll admit that. Please let me know if and under what circumstances it happens again.
UPDATE:
It is most likely not a bug in the mod, but a problem in the game itself, since similar problems occasionally appear in other mods that work with windows. With PSO it is only clearly noticeable because my mod has a lot of window calls (due to multiple clicks in the simulation app). So I either have to leave it and do nothing (the problem isn't that dramatic, albeit annoying), or completely change the visuals of the mod, e.g. go back to the classic pie menu.
