Marshmallow Ghosts!

Hey there, my favourite people!

Maybe you're celebrating Halloween!  Maybe you just like ghosts - who doesn't, right?!

These little ghostlings have a secret - they're actually hollow, and the base on which they sit is effectively a lid, and unscrews to reveal... well, whatever you happen to put in there.  Candy, treasure, smaller ghosts... the options are endless...

Printing Tips

This is another easy print - no supports needed and all the angles are friendly.

The ghost itself prints right-way up, as does the base, and the eyes print flat on their backs.  Note that you might want to use a raft for the eyes since they're so tiny and might challenge your bed adhesion.  But then again, they take no time to print anyway, so it's not a huge risk :)

Print Dimensions

The Marshmallow Ghost occupies 52mm x 52mm on the print bed and is 64mm tall.

The base occupies 60mm x 59mm on the bed and is 10mm tall.

The eyes, well, those are tiny :)

Further Thoughts

It turns out that if you scale the Marshmallow Ghost to about 120% it'll fit an LED tealight quite nicely...

Happy printing!

I loved this print and it gave me two ideas: 1) An alternate base that has a recessed center. This would allow the tea light to sit lower and light up more of the ghost. 2) A christmas tree version. Base could be round (tree trunk) and tree could be wider than the β€œtrunk”.

alternate the colors to designate what you're about to shake?

I love the print... with my fan shroud, it even sounds spooky while printing...(theres a slight whistling as it gets toward the top) :)

Am I the only one thinking salt and pepper shakers?

I just printed one at 120% without infill and it came out perfect.

Printing those right now with clear Prusament PETG and putting my timer led tea lights in 😁 Some glow in the dark will follow. Will be awesome when the led light turns of and it glows red πŸ˜‰ Do you think it would print without infill? I think the most critical part to print without infill would be the β€žheadβ€œ πŸ€”

These look amazing!

That is a brilliant idea!

They are so cute, need to dig out my glow in the dark filament.

Hooray! :D

I didn't know such a thing existed - that's awesome!

These are next up on my printer once I finish this steampunk egg. FYI - Timer led tea lights are perfect for this. When you turn them on, they stay on for 6 hours, off for 18, and repeats.

I'm so excited to print a few of these 🀩
