UPDATE:

NEW .3MF Color Files added!

Thank you "Sledge Painter!" for these amazing fun Paintjobs: Mallard Duck & Canadian Goose! (Photos added to the post!)

Hi Cinders!

This Tiny Duck was a special request from someone in my family who love jeeps and wanted a duck that articulated. This was not one of the planned models but I thought the community might like it as well and wanted to release it to you all anyways! :)

Because of its shape, I was able to give it jumbo sized links compared to some of my other tiny models. I believe it can print pretty small but I've only tested it between 50% - 100%.

These are really fun and I hope you enjoy printing them!

Thank you all for your support!

- Tracy

FILAMENT:

https://www.amazon.com/shop/cinderwing3d

Yellow Duck: CookieCad Solar Flare
Brown Duck: Amolen Marble-green Schist, Amolen Ice Blue

-----------------------------------------------------

All my designs are print-in-place and require no supports. All you need is a clean bed and you're off!

Designs are tested between 60%-100% for strength and articulation! I will not release a design that is too fragile at these sizes. All designs go through our Cinder Test Team!

Print Settings:  .2 Layer height, 15% infill, gyroid infill, no brim, and no supports. (If there are smaller parts of your print that have a hard time staying stuck to the plate, please try a brim around those parts) Any errors regarding floating regions can be safely ignored.

Comments

I have updated the Tiny Duck with a "flatter" variant that should print better for those of you having curling or adhesion issues!

Tracy Francis

If it';s an X1C I'd recommend cracking your door and top! I'd work on tuning in your overhangs as well :)

Tracy Francis

I’ve been trying to print these since the file came out and as soon as it gets to the beak and eyes it fails. No matter what filament I use. I’ve tried the 15% and 20% infill. Great adhesion to glue smooth plate. Using X1 Carbon. Tried at 50, 60, 80 and 100% scale. Were additional tweaks made to others getting a completed duck?

Denise Beeler

I did have some trouble with these. The first batch at 50% and the wings came up from the plate which was an issue. The second plate, I used glue and outer brim. I know and I still had a couple individual pieces fail. The biggest mystery though was I printed the colored version and selected all the right colors in my AMS and for some reason it didn't switch colors at all. Not blaming the designer, I'm sure the error was likely mine. I've never had an issue with a single cinderwings print. I do love this model though.

Anthony Agee

You are welcome to turn it into one!

Tracy Francis

Most adorable duck ever! Can we get a keychain of it too?

John Goedeker

Ok I know we can’t modify them. But my first duck print failed right above their eyes. I was going to scrap them. But then I had an idea. I printed little fedoras for them. They are SUPER cute. Need to join the discord to show them off.

EliteGeek
