Howdy, wonderful people!
Remember the Branch Tube? Well, it was pointed out that it could be really useful to have segments with closed bases that could still screw together, allowing a series of individual chambers to form a tube. The existing base would of course allow segments to be closed off, but there was no way to then attach further elements. Until now!

You've probably already got the idea from the pictures above - there's now an interior floor that sits inside the threaded section so that the top of another tube can still be joined below.
I was a bit concerned that the bottom of the segment would work out too narrow once the inset was put in place but it worked out just fine, even with 2mm walls! That was pure luck though - I certainly can't credit any clever design intuition on my part :P
All four segment sizes are provided with bases now, as are both textures - read below for details!
Printing Tips
The new models print in the same orientation as before. That is, right-way-up, like so:

No particular printing considerations for this one! Print and assemble! Try to keep it neat, though :)
File locations
You'll find eight new models on dropbox under 814 Branch Tube / Closed Tubes. There are closed-base versions of all four heights, and in both knurled and regular textures.

Final Thoughts
It's funny how much feedback the original branch tube ended up getting! I would never have picked it as a design that would resonate with people - I'm a terrible judge of such things :) I figured this would be one of those projects that would be largely for my own amusement (it doesn't even have cogs in it!), so I was super pleased that other people liked it too!
Have fun!
