Added 2022-09-06 16:43:52 +0000 UTCI am super fan of the original Planet of the Apes, so I'm really enjoying this commissioned set/photoshoot!!
For this commission I have to cosplay Nova (Taylor's spectacular companion who is also captured by the apes) and create two scenarios for her. First one is the jungle set, which I have already shown you (but today I'm sharing a little making-of collage)... I buyed and used A LOT of plastic plants and vines, to create the illusion of deep (and for the jungle floor), and I'm very happy with the result ^_____^
Nova's costume also seemed much easier to make at first, but in the end, after creating the pattern directly over my body and sewing the basic "dress" form, the real work has been texturing and creating all the shades and organic tears to make it look like real leather.
I know it's going to be hard to look like the magnificent Linda Harrison playing Nova in Planet of the Apes, but I hope with the wig and (a lot) makeup I can look like her a little bit π
