The funny thing is that during this episode’s sex scene, they had shots of Kala/Wolfgang going at it in Kala’s pool at night and Wolfgang’s room during the day. But they had no reason to have shots where the time was reversed and it was daytime in Kala’s pool and nighttime in Wolfgang’s room. I feel like that shouldn’t make sense 😭 and was just production’s horniness going at it again.

2025-10-07 04:40:06 +0000 UTCWhat I think is interesting is how Mr. Hoy talked about sensoriums having "Google" since the Neolithic, which is a kind of fun easy to think about the fact that different cultures experienced some of the same "events" around the same time. Like different cultures having dragon stories or building pyramids, similar gods/goddesses, etc. If there were a bunch of sensates around, it would make total sense lol But with their troubles, I think some of them have had their own shit in different ways. Will had an alcoholic dad while being able to see things that no one believed he could see; Riley losing her mom and then her husband and baby in a terrible way after being told she was cursed; Nomi being trans in an uber-Christian family in America where not even everyone on the queer spectrum accepts them; Wolfgang having a jackass father and gang family (though more of his origin story comes later); Lito being a closeted action star - who has one of the best boyfriends I've ever seen that he has to hide - in Mexico before they got a little more forward-thinking nationally like they are now; Kala is relatively charmed considering, but she feels pressed to marry in a culture where arranged marriages are the norm while everyone thinks she's legitimately in love then does actually fall in love with someone thousands of miles away; Sun lost her mother and had an indifferent father before everything really hit the fan for her; Capheus losing his father, getting kicked out of their home because of "bad blood" and as such meaning they had to give up his sister to the nuns while his mother is slowly dying of AIDS before being attacked for trying to protect the only thing he had to help his mother. Kala has probably had it the easiest out of all of them. But Sun goes from relatively charmed, outside of losing her mom and having a garbage dad (until the end) to just non-stop shit on the run which is why her story seems so much more effed than everyone else's, we're seeing where her story starts the rough chapter as opposed to somewhat after like everyone else's
