2025-11-07 16:28:45 +0000 UTCI love Rust as a character. I find him pretty easy to identify with even though I can’t personally relate to him. That concerns me lol but it’s true. It’s hard to argue with his point of view most of the time because he’s rational, but to a very extreme point. I imagine if I’d gone through something as traumatic as losing a young child the way he did, I’d have a similar outlook on life. This season is such a well-written character study and I think that’s what makes it so great.

And to force a life into this thresher." because i watched this for the first time when i was suicidal and self harming and had been in a psych hospital for a while and i resented my parents for bringing me into this world, and even now a decade later, i still feel that resentment bubble up. so that line has always stuck with me. i've never heard it being put into such words since then. also i just love that you're enjoying the rust/marty partnership. it's so entertaining and i don't get tired of watching them be on screen together in this show.
