Oh how I LOVE Detective Mun 😭 I wish we had gotten more seasons to flesh out him and Sun’s relationship with each other. Also Sun&Moon. I just, love everything about those two.

So so true. Especially covering so many characters in just two short seasons. Remarkable

I really love these episodes because of the issues they explore in the global south (granted, through the viewpoint of writers from the western world). They are issues that the west accelerated through colonialism and imperialism, and I'm sure slavery was part of it, though I'm not as familiar with that long term dynamic, as the American education system is trash. But you can see the diet version of a lot of the issues that were showed in the US. The water issues in Flint, Michigan, for example. The issues with medication, since people do not have healthcare (and even if they do, sometimes stuff that they really need is not covered), and they will skip or cut cut up their doses to try to make their meds last. The way cities are maintained vs rural areas being ignored because no one cares about how things look if no one is there to see it. All of the things the US will not do for their own citizens is something you might see in the global south, since capitalism has made us go "Hey, you have something we want... I don't really care if you mind." At most we use soft power initiatives to take care of some diseases that we don't want spreading to the US. We aren't the only country, but I am using us as an example because I see a version of everything in the show here in the US, including the religious extremism leading to violence. People just have a way of seeing it completely differently.

I feel like every episode, there's a different cast member I find the most attractive. Hayyyy Sun on that roof in that cut-off tank!
I live for Neets's facial expressions every time Bug gets problematically trans-affirming

If I remember correctly, a lot of this season for Capheus was a result of feedback from the viewers that his s1 arc was too stereotypical (poor african village, poor aids mother, etc) and I think it's cool that they listened and showed the duality of the economy the past few episodes

rewatching this show with you really reminds me how much i loved it and how i wish more shows now fluidly explored diverse characters and storylines like this show did. you really feel like the characters are real people with full lives and personalities and flaws and opinions—it's so hard to feel that from characters in newer shows nowadays
