I can't catch everything

Franklin

Oof I was so looking forward to see your reaction to the Tom twist but I never got that

Noah

Nero (Tom) pushed his wife (Shiv) down the stairs and married his favorite slaveboy Sporus (Greg) instead…just as the prophecy foretold 😂 it was fantastic foreshadowing! Tom had the most interesting arc in season 3 imo. We spent years waiting to see how Tom will snap in his marriage, what that would look like in the context of his career, and how he’ll be compromised as person for it. Betraying Shiv (and thwarting the siblings), saving Greg from fallout (which he maybe needed bcuz he was part of leak that tipped off the siblings), and aligning himself with Logan was absolutely the most surprising but pragmatic, vile but satisfying, unsettling yet exciting twist to me. The drama!

I'm there with you. It wasn't until reading this comment section that I had that jaw drop moment These characters take us on a rollercoaster sometimes. you love em then you hate them

Franklin

Not gonna lie, on the first viewing I thought this finale was uneventful... but I think it's because I also missed the moment where Shiv sees Logan greet Tom with a big smile and a pat on the back as he walks away in victory. Besides myself you might be the only other person I've seen react to this whose jaw didn't drop when the camera zooms in on Shiv witnessing that.. But one thiing you pointed out about this episode, that I haven't seen anyone else point out and I never noticed in the umpteenth viewing, is that Roman was inching closer to Kendall when he started crying but still didn't know how to show any genuine care for him. And I love how your opinion of Roman and Logan is just annoyed at the beginning of the episode- having been out of the Succession vibe for a bit- but then by the end of it you're fascinated by the psychology of their characters and how the actors portrayed it.

Shiv got fucked by her dad, her mom and her husband all within like ten minutes.

Tom is such a snake man

The way her eyes look black and vacant at the end -- chilling and devastating. I've always been impressed with her acting in general, but the way she uses her eyes -- wow.

pisses me off that Logan goes "make your own fucking pile" when he's never allowed them to do so? Shiv tried a whole different career path in season 1, taking the steps to make her own pile, and he pulled her right back in so she'd be dependent on him again. he spent their entire lives grooming and controlling them and then all of a sudden it's "make your own fucking pile", he's so full of shit. i really appreciate the scene where Kendall tells them he killed someone, and the intervention scene with all four of them; i just love seeing people as emotionally stunted and distant as the Roy siblings try to genuinely comfort each other and kind of failing at it, trying to be serious and supportive while also looking like the words are being forced out of them. and, though it ended in disaster, i loved seeing the siblings (at least 3/4) standing united together, especially considering that logan always pitted them against each other. on the same topic, i love the character growth for Roman to be able to stand with his siblings and against their dad. Kieran Culkin has been a great actor so far in the show, but in particular the way he showed Roman's fear in that final scene really stood out to me; the smaller details are everything. Sarah Snook's acting as well; her eyes are so expressive!

Yeah I get it, he did all he could. but he was driving under the influence tho. Thats like rule number one of what not to do.

Franklin

Roman isn't wrong, though. The kid grabbed the steering wheel. Kendall dove down multiple times, trying to save him. Kendall was driving just fine beforehand. It was an accident, there was something in the road, if they had hit it, both of them would be dead anyway. Kendall is tearing himself up over multiple things, including that. Of course he's feeling responsible for it, but he did everything he could in the scenario. It was just a fucked up situation that couldn't be helped with how it went. For him to have been truly responsible, he would have had to have crashed the car on his own, by being intoxicated, with no intervening factors. A huge animal in the road requires you to take desperate measures to avoid it. A river being there is something you can't do anything about. And with the kid grabbing the wheel, Kendall couldn't choose where the car was going to go. If it was in the US, he would not be able to have been held criminally liable. They would have made a settlement payment to the family of the kid, and that would have been that. Kendall's ONLY responsibility is that they were out in search of drugs for him. Everything else is not his fault.

Sara is such a good actress the number of micro expressions and emotions she has in the last scene is incredible

Frank!!!! You missed it 🙈 I was so excited to see your face when you realised Tom betrayed Shiv 😅😅 So now we know who told Logan at the beginning of this season that the siblings were at Kendall’s. That’s why Logan sent the Donuts 🍩 Shiv told Tom the siblings were there and Tom told Logan!!! Fucking snake 🐍

Grazita Müller

You can’t bullshit us Frank, I know you wanna laugh at Roman’s inappropriate jokes more than you’re willing to admit 😄

LtotheoG

Your catch with the workers taking out the garbage, you’re the first one to make that connection with Kendall. That def triggered him, and made him crash out.

LtotheoG

For real

Franklin

Fuckin tom!!!!!!!

Franklin

Rewatch the end after Shiv says, "How did he know we were coming?"

Melissa
