I think my current house is haunted (so far everything is nice and I’ve lived here since I was 14 years old and I’ll be….47 this year (I always say I’m turning 21 every year on my birthday (an October baby. October 4th) but yeah nothing demonic here so far and also knocking on some wood 😂).

2025-08-21 00:31:05 +0000 UTCI never talk about this besides a couple friends I told but when I was like 12-13 me and my friends were playing manhunt next to the local fire station. I swear on everything, and I’m not even the type to believe this sort of thing, but I walked down to look for someone and saw a ghostly type figure of a woman or a girl with black hair in a white nightgown looking thing just sitting on top of a short wall. I instantly sprinted the opposite way and told my one friend so we went back and it was nothing there. Like not even something that I could have mistaken for a human shape. One other time me and my friend were at the park late doing stupid kid things and we were leaving to walk home and we walked down into the ditch. Randomly I got a sudden chill just through my entire body and I instantly looked at my boy next to me and he looked right back looking like wtf. I asked him if he felt that and he said yes and then we both were just tripping about it after the fact. Anyway love the content brother not many shows in ur rotation that I know right now, maybe that just means I should watch the reaction and see how good they are, but nonetheless u always have such great takes and it’s nice to be in a community

2025-08-20 19:33:58 +0000 UTCI know its been said elsewhere that you read a summary of 28 Days Later to get yourself up to speed for the new one, but I highly recommend watching the original anyway. There isn't really any story connection between the new one and the original that I am aware of but the original is just an iconic and hugely influential movie. It was shot with a relatively low budget and pretty much popularised the phenomenon of fast zombies. Along with Shaun of the Dead it reignited the popularity of the zombie movie for a new generation. The performances are great including Brendan Gleeson and a young Cillian Murphy. In short, even if you don't do a reaction for it, you should definitely check it out.

Glad to hear your recovery went well ☺ Weekly question: I've never seen a ghost or any other paranormal activity (that I know of lol), although I did have an encounter with a sleep paralysis demon once, and it was terrifying! Thats not really paranormal but when I mentioned it to my old therapist she tried to tell me that they're all around us all the time, we just usually can't see them and I was like wtf!

Just feels wrong 😂 I know you read a summary but I think you should do a quick poll and see who thinks you should react to 28 Days first. It's just too good to skip. But you absolutely can skip the second one 28 Weeks 😃

2025-08-20 08:23:45 +0000 UTCYeah! When I was really young I was trying to go to sleep in bed with my dad and I turned over and saw a damned shadow apparition on the wall. It was an old man with a cane and there was a small ass shadow terrier dog with him. It felt like they were angry at me but I don't remember them making any sound. I tried waking my dad up but couldn't, which makes sense even in retrospect. He was a heavy drinker and really hard to wake up. Later on in life I learned about hypnopompic hallucinations because my wife and her brother have them on occasion, but I've never had one since. It might have been a dream or nightmare, because I had recurrent nightmares as a kid but if it was it's by far the most vivid I've ever had. I don't really believe in ghosts but I still haven't found an explanation that felt right.

Never seen them, but I saw a tiny door on the side of a huge rock face once and ran away v fast 😅😅

The whole reason why we BOUGHT the house is because the old gentleman who lived there previously had died in the bathroom and *trigger, gross* his decomp juices leaked through the floor into the basement and my dad said he’d clean it up if he got the house for cheap. It wasn’t some old creepy house. But the basement always gave me the creeps. There was a specific corner that was always cold. Sometimes, I would hear someone call my name up the steps in the hallway going up to the second floor where my bedroom was but no one would be there. I’d hear footsteps on the stairs regularly. Banging in the basement, etc. I always kept it to myself because I was a scardy cat and didn’t want to believe it was real, but as an adult, I went to lunch with my older brother and asked him if he remembered that house and he was like “yeah that place was haunted as shit!” Turns out all 7 of my siblings had ghostly experiences, but life itself in my family was so fucked up and traumatizing that we ignored the ghosts and pretended they didn’t exist. 😅
