So I just joined as a patron, and I can't continue on ep 3 of Adolescence tonight because it's after 11 on a Sunday and I truly cannot let myself be drawn into that, I have a long workday tomorrow... Hence, it was Schitt's Creek favourite eps. BY ALL THAT'S HOLY your stare at the camera when Patrick invites David to stay with him bc of the lice. Yeah, you've got him figured out. :D :D :D Thanks for the laugh!

I bust out laughing…right when you just were talking about forgetting names you said Tom instead of Ted😂 but you corrected yourself lol. I’m the same way though, I still can’t remember if my mothers birthday is on the 8th on 9th of her birthday month and I knew her all my life 😒 And yes your right their season finales give you all the feels. Patrick and David’s moment in the car is one of my favorite get together moments on a Tv series. So genuine. Glad you enjoyed it!

Love this episode!
I’ve never had lice and luckily not my kids so far either although there was an outbreak at their day care recently. It helps to prevent them if you spray the hair with a mix of vinegar and water! This is what I did with my kids and they didn’t get them even though many from the group did.

Also, I love how David is habitually anxious and wary, but NOT a coward, and how Patrick teases a lot, but always gives him credit.

I love this finale SO much. Alexis' face when first Ted, and then Moira show up for her! Remember how when she first got to Shitt's Creek, she thought some guy was coming get her, but he blew her off like it's nothing? And in all her stories, it's always just understood that it's up to her to get herself out of whatever predicament she's in. Sure, she can "flirtatiously boss" someone into doing her bidding, but really, that's also her making things happen, not someone just having her back. I'm just so very very glad that the show never failed this character, never made her just a punch line, or toned her down, or sidelined her. I feel like, it's still the same person we see in the beginning, only it turns out, that was actually someone really special.

I *Loved* this season's finale. It was what convinced me to stick with the show/binge it (it was "covid times" and I really needed some up moments).
Not gonna lie: seeing Alexis' highbeam smile at her mom's performance (and Moira's proud face) almost brought the tears! Almost!--but I caught myself...and David and Patrick had the adorable smooch, so that brought me back, lol.
This show just becomes more emotionally rich as it goes on...and i'm looking forward to experiencing that with ya'll.

I caught lice in high school after trying on a hat when I was on vacation. It's itchy, but in a different way than you would think. We thought I had got rid of them, then 3 weeks later they were back. Awful!

I'm exactly the same as you when it comes to names: I have an excellent visual memory, if i met someone, even if it's quicky I'll remember that person's face for a long time, but if you asks me the name of someone I met the a hour ago I don't remember shit.

This finale is pure golden. The set up of everyone being ready for disappointment but the pay off at the end as they all get the one thing they all wanted is just perfect. Alexis being supported at her graduation, David getting to celebrate his birthday with a kiss no less, Johnny getting the hotel fully booked, and Moira getting the solo, not just any solo but getting to perform it for her daughter. Chefs. Kiss.

Lilith fair was a music festival featuring female-fronted bands. Sarah McLaughlin was involved, so I guess this is David proving his fandom credentials. There’s kind of a subtextual joke that the festival was pretty sapphic, implying that David is a bit of a lesbian.

I don't even know how to begin to express how much I loved these episodes, especially the finale. Every single storyline was a blast, maybe with the exception of the Roland and Johnny’s bit, but I’ll let it slide bcs everything else was chef’s kiss! Personal growth and relationship development, whether romantic or familial, were written and portrayed absolutely beautifully!😍
P.S. with Frank's permission, I want to recommend the Talkin Schitt podcast (@talkinschitt). I came across them on YT where the hosts talk and discuss every episode of Schitt's Creek (one of them is English and watching it for the first time, the other is American and a die-hard fan like me)), it's very entertaining 😂 so if you're interested, please give it a try.. 🥰they are very small and could use the support)

I’ve never had lice, but my brother got bedbugs once. Evidently that is NOT a fun time, they spread like crazy so you have to be super meticulous when trying to eliminate them.

I totally forgot about Moira’s surprise at the graduation! I love this show😂, it’s so well written. I already know I’m gonna be sad again at the end of the series, just like when you finished the good place. - Side note finally watched Sinners last night, such a cool movie, loved it.

Patrick is a nice, capable guy and as we saw with the Sebastian Raine episode and other comments throughout the series, David has had a terrible dating history. So I don’t think it was on his radar at all that he could attract someone like Patrick. And if Patrick is newly figuring himself out, I can see he would maybe give off hot and cold vibes as he worked through it. Love their story.
The first few seasons are good but what we went through with the characters as we were made to understand where they were coming from, makes the last few a really satisfying treat. Johnnys success at the motel so far wouldn’t feel so sweet if we didn’t see the failed efforts. And I just love what’s coming up. Please don’t switch to one episode a week! That would be excruciating!

Oh and I have had lice before. There was an outbreak in my Elementary school and I think nearly everyone ended up getting it. I was maybe in 2nd grade. I honestly don’t really remember what it felt like, if it was really itchy etc. I mainly just remember having to use a special shampoo and my mom having to comb them out. I don’t know if lice outbreaks are still as common in schools, but mid-90’s they were popping.

There was a lice outbreak at my school when I was 8 and me and 2 of my sisters got it. My mom insisted on cutting all of our super long hair short, and we had to seal all our stuffed animals in garbage bags for days. The worst part though was the treatment. Our hair was saturated with stinky greasy cream and then my mom used this tiny hard metal comb to inspect every inch of our scalps and pick out the bugs. It was exactly like what you saw in the scene with Ted and Alexis at the clinic, except I was sobbing the whole time. Now, as I’m typing this though, I’m thinking it was probably more traumatic for my mom lol

Gwen is Bob’s wife. We’ve seen her before in the show, i.e. Bob’s brother’s funeral, when Moira and Johnny went to the wrong cabin, the Poker game etc. but she’s not a very prominent physical character. Bob usually mentions her a lot, but she’s mentioned more than we actually see her.

My school had a lice outbreak when I was in 1st or 2nd grade and I caught it. Definitely itchy. I had looooong hair and I can still remember sitting in a chair next to my mom, who took the shade off a lamp so the bulb was really bright for her to see my scalp and comb through it. She was so calm and loving, and years later let me know it grossed her out but she knew she had to do it. Core memory for me of a superhero parenting moment. ♥️
