2025-08-09 19:59:04 +0000 UTCThe West Wing and Dollhouse. Neither are flawless, both have aged badly in some ways. But both have dialogue that has simply become part of my brain, and both regulary hit you with stuff you have to think about really, really hard, even decades later. Honourable mention to The Good Place for the same reasons, just without the flaws and icky creators. I think all three shows have the same approach to their central theme (politics/policy/gvt, technology, and philosophy): Make the viewer actually think about it, using excellent dialogue, storytelling and acting/production.
